We are thrilled to share two important announcements about RubyApps DevCamp, fast-approaching this Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13.

We're delighted to have Shamis Pitts, owner of Pitts Leadership Consulting, as our keynote speaker. Shamis is a dynamic and accomplished leadership coach, trainer, facilitator, and wellness expert, having worked or collaborated with The New SchoolCornell UniversityEllevate Network and Teachers College, Columbia University. She was selected by The New York Business Journal as one of New York’s top businesswomen and was invited to mentor for the 2020 Bizwomen #MentoringMonday initiative.

Shamis is also a contributor to Thrive Global. She has been featured on Cait Donovan's Fried. The Burnout Podcast, and is leading her very own Let's Live in the AND wellbeing initiative. Shamis also previously led an in-person session on Mindfulness in the Workplace at RubensteinTech

The focus of Shamis' address will align with this year's theme for RubyApps DevCamp, Community. In 2020, our lives have been disrupted by a public health crisis, impacting the way we live, the way we work, and the way we interact. Having a community—and even communities—to belong to and to contribute to, are critical for coping and thriving across all facets of life.

Through various initiatives at RubyApps and RubyLaw, including RubyApps DevCamp and RubyLaw Live (to name just two), we are supporting our community of marketers, business developers, and technologists in professional services.

We hope you'll continue to be a part of the RubyApps Community, and join us  on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13. If you'd like us to hold a spot for you, please let us know.
