Last updated: May 25, 2018

Rubenstein Technology Group, Inc. ("RubensteinTech") respects each individual's right to personal privacy. We will collect and use information through our Web site only in the ways disclosed in this statement. This statement applies solely to information collected at RubensteinTech's Web Site.

Information Collection

RubensteinTech collects information through our Web site at several points. We collect the following information about primary visitors: name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone and fax numbers, Internet Protocol (IP) address, date and time of visit, and web browser application and usage information.

We may also collect other types of personally identifiable information which our users divulge about other people, such as referrals or requests for technical support or documentation. RubensteinTech does not actively market to children, and we never knowingly ask a child under 13 to divulge personal information.

We collect demographic data in order to better market our products and services to site visitors and our clients.

We verify the accuracy of this information by phone and or e-mail from time to time.

We collect this information through registration forms, clickstream tracking, and automatic logging files. The information is collected voluntarily or involuntarily. To receive our products and services, this information is mandatory because it allows us to better focus and customize our offerings. Other information we request is optional.

We employ cookies to track usage of our website and email marketing campaigns. A cookie is a small text file that our Web server places on a user's computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. Cookies enable RubensteinTech to track usage patterns and deliver customized content to users. Our cookies do have an expiration date. Our cookies do not collect personally identifiable information, but rather consist of an identification number that can then be linked to personally identifiable information.

Accessing RubensteinTech systems as well as client systems may result in the recording of the originating IP address and other routing data, which is stored and maintained for up to 30 days. This data is necessary to troubleshoot processing, security, and fraud issues that periodically occur within any advanced website and web services environment.

Information Usage

The information collected by RubensteinTech will be used for sales and marketing purposes. At times, RubensteinTech staff may use IP addresses and other personally identifiable information to assist in customer support requests or in response to a potential AUP violation. Users who provide information will receive email announcements and possibly advertisements from RubensteinTech about our products and services.

Registered users may receive additional announcements from us about products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications.

The information we collect will be used to create customer profiles based on browsing or purchasing history. We will supplement information collected at our Web site with data from other sources, such as credit history to authorize purchases.

We do not share data with third parties at this time.

We offer links to other Web sites. Please note: When you click on links to other Web sites, we encourage you to read their privacy policies. Their standards may differ from ours.

Our Web site offers public forums and message boards. Please be advised that information posted in these venues becomes public knowledge.

If our policy on information collection or uses changes, will advise you by updating this policy on our website at the following address: http://www.rubensteintech.com/about/privacy.html. This policy is subject to change without notice.

Access to Information

RubensteinTech maintains the accuracy of our information by periodic review of this information. Users may access their own personal information and contact us about inaccuracies they may find via phone or e-mail to webmaster@rubensteintech.com. Users may delete their information from our database by requesting RubensteinTech to do so via phone or e-mail. Database information will be removed within 30 days of receipt of any such request.

Information Retention

We generally discard information about you when we no longer need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it–which are described in the section above–and we are not legally required to continue to keep it.

For example, we keep the web server logs that record information about a visitor to one of RubensteinTech’s websites or client properties, such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, and operating system, for approximately 30 days. We retain the logs for this period of time in order to, among other things, analyze traffic to RubensteinTech’s websites and investigate issues if something goes wrong on one of our websites.

Your Rights

If you are located in certain countries, including those that fall under the scope of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data protection laws give you rights with respect to your personal data, subject to any exemptions provided by the law, including the rights to:

—Request access to your personal data;
—Request correction or deletion of your personal data;
—Object to our use and processing of your personal data;
—Request that we limit our use and processing of your personal data; and
—Request portability of your personal data.

You can usually access, correct, or delete your personal data using your account settings and tools that we offer, but if you aren’t able to do that, or you would like to contact us about one of the other rights, please scroll down to Problem Resolution.

EU individuals also have the right to make a complaint to a government supervisory authority.

Controllers and Responsible Companies

Different RubensteinTech services may result in RubensteinTech being the “controller” and/or “processor” of personal information, which means that we are the company responsible for processing that information, based on the particular service and the location of the individual using our Services.

Problem Resolution

If you have a question about this Privacy Policy, or you would like to contact us about any of the rights mentioned in the Your Rights section above, please contact RubensteinTech by phone or email at privacy@rubensteintech.com. We are committed to resolving disputes as quickly as possible.

Data Storage and Security

The security of your personal information is very important to us, and we are committed to protecting the information we collect. RubensteinTech uses firewalls and data encryption, including Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption, for all information we collect from you. We also employ many different security techniques to protect personal data against loss, misuse, alteration, and unauthorized action; however, we cannot guarantee perfect security of your personal information.

Because RubensteinTech’s services are offered worldwide, the information about you that we process when you use the services in the European Union (EU) may be used, stored, and/or accessed by individuals operating outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who work for us, other members of our group of companies, or third-party data processors. This is required for the purposes listed herein. When providing information about you to entities outside the EEA, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that the recipient protects your personal information adequately in accordance with this Privacy Policy as required by applicable law.

For U.S. users, by using the services and providing information to us, you consent to the transfer and processing of the information in the United States and, unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we use this consent as the legal ground for that data transfer.

If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that you are sending information, including, but not limited to, personally identifiable information, to the United States where our services are located. Whether you are located in the United States, the European Economic Area, or elsewhere, our collection, storage, and use of your personal data will at all times be governed by this Privacy Policy. In order to comply with the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for our European consumers and users, this Privacy Policy outlines the legal basis on which we process your personal data and provides other information required by the GDPR. Except where we may have a separate legal basis for processing your personal data, when collecting personal data protected by the GDPR on the website, you will be prompted to provide your explicit consent to this data transfer and understanding of the terms set forth in this Privacy Policy.

You can ask us for more information about the steps we take to protect your personal information when transferring it from the EU.
